With regards to the review from G Smith, Birkby Construction complied with all HSE asbestos removal guidelines and this was carried out locally with Sevenoaks District Council Environmental Health Officer. All associated documentation and procedure was approved. In connection to the dangerous structure, we were denied access to the property to take support of the wall and, therefore, informed the neighbour this may occur and to stay clear of this area at all times until removal of the wall following receipt of planning permission.

Appalling building works by Lee Birkby. Did not take the legally required steps when removing asbestos. Did not provide the required documentation to surrounding households. Left a wall in an unsafe state for months, refusing to make it comply with building regulations standards and the result was that it fell over and could have caused injury or death. Given this is the quality of his building, I would avoid anything he has put his name to.
