Churches in Yalding Parish

St Mary

Junction Claygate Rd and Darman Lane Laddingford Maidstone

St Mary's is a very small, friendly church for the hamlet of Laddingford. We regularly hold two informal services of Morning Worship a month. When a fifth Sunday occurs, we host a joint Communion with one of the other two churches in the benefice. The Communion style is usually Common Worship, but occasionally BCP may be used.

The church doubles up as a Village Hall and is quite an active community centre. It is used during term times by the adjoining Laddingford Primary school for assemblies and as additional space, and is also available for hire for Community or private purposes.

We do not have a separate PCC, but operate under the control of Yalding PCC and of a Hall Management Committee.

St Peter & St Paul

High Street Yalding Maidstone

We are a friendly parish church, serving a semi-rural village in West Kent. Our congregation is made up of Christians from both Anglican and free church traditions. We try to provide something for all.

Worship in Yalding is mainly based on the Common Worship Eucharist, usually accompanied by a robed choir. Our Benefice consists of 3 Churches in 2 Parishes with 3 Church of England Primary Schools.

We have Holy Communion in the Benefice 3 times a week (1st, 2nd & 3rd Sunday at 9.30am) and an All Age Worship at 10am (4th Sunday). We also have a Said Communion at 10.30am on Wednesday's. Please see our website for more details www.yaldingchurches.co.uk

All are welcome in our Churches, and those whose usual practice is to take Holy Communion are welcome to share with us or to come and receive God's Blessing.

We have developed thriving Junior and Youth sections, perhaps as a result of having two Church of England primary schools located in the parish - with a third primary school in the other parish of the benefice.

Junior Church for up to 17 years takes place during the main Sunday service and operates in term times, in addition to all this we have a Little Fishes group for the very young, run by our Mothers' Union.

There has been a church in Yalding since the 12th century. Our church was much re-ordered in Victorian times. Since building works in 2002 we now have modern soundproofed meeting rooms, a servery and toilet facilities, all located within the church building.

For further information on baptisms or weddings, please contact our parish administator on [email protected] or our Churchwardens whose details are on our website.

Come and visit us - you'll be welcome!
